Parm Armstrong

Parm is a self-taught figurative and abstract artist who has been painting for the past few years.

In her thirty-five years as an educator, Parm has been an observer of children’s views of the world around them. Combined with her own intimate  childhood memories she uses her skills as an artist to capture moments of introspection and emotion with the endearing vulnerability of childhood creating narratives that stimulate the viewers own memories. She creates a profound emotional connection through visual storytelling.

In her abstract work, she is  indulging her love of visual art by exploring texture, colour, and style in serene, contemplative pieces that invite personal reflection. Textured areas and unexpected marks bring a sense of spontaneity and depth to her work that is transformed into thoughtful expressions of calm, quiet beauty that whisper secrets.
